Mission Accomplished
The final leg from Tanegashima to Kagoshima's Kimotsuki town was completed today at 18:19. Way to go guys. I (Leanne) will be driving in the rain all night with Mr.Mizuno to pick you up and hopefully go for a casual kayak tour over the weekend. It looked like it must have been a rough and exciting final ride. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Good to hear the mission is accomplished and everyone is doing well. It sure sounded like quite the adventure. I don't understand all the symbols on your maps, like the bubbles...
I really like the picture of the eclipse taken in Amakusa! So cooL!

hi nita. thanks for the comment. I was relieved to have the boys return safely. I think it was quite the journey despite the disappointment of not fully experiencing the solar eclipse.
Sorry the maps are difficult to read. The SPOT unit makes a mark automatically every 20 minutes with a bubble mark. It was cool to be able to track them with such accuracy.
